Code switching is a practice that comes naturally to multilingual speakers. Many of such speakers are English Language teachers in Malaysia who have done code switching while teaching in their own English classrooms. This article discusses multiple perceptions and views of practicing teachers about code switching practises in the Malaysian English classroom. The discussion in this article is based on the flipflop changes in policies from PPSMI (Teaching of science and mathematics in English) to MBMMBI (Memartabatkan Bahasa Malaysia Memperkukuh Bahasa Inggeris) that had gripped the Malaysian educational landscape since 2002.
