Description
Open educational resources (OERs) have emerged as one of the most innovative teaching and learning tools as well as a cost-effective mechanism to improve the quality of educational offerings by optimising the use of available resources. OERs via e-Learning now offer universities (especially Open Universities) that depend on printed distance learning materials a more economical and expeditious alternative to develop and offer their courses and programmes. This programme was developed to facilitate this cause and to promote the use of OER in educational institutions.
