Adult learners in open distance stressors, coping strategies and social support - a study of undergraduate students at the WOU Penang learning centre: some preliminary findings

This paper highlights on contributes to the knowledge base of adult open distance education by exploring the stressors, coping strategies, and social support in relation to undergraduate students in a WOU Regional Learning Centre in Penang. It examines how these students perceive the effectiveness of their coping strategies and if these variables affect student persistence after one year of study. The preliminary findings of this study are discussed in this paper.
