STOU has granted numbers of projects to serve lifelong learning for communities and general public. These projects cover in many areas for better livings as well as to improve quality of life for Thai people. Most of the distributed material and contents of these projects are designed and developed to serve as open educational resources which are open knowledge, open access and knowledge sharing. Initially, a project of open courseware covers in Thai language for foreigner, education technology focusing in media design and development, social science, health for social care. Moreover, these open courseware for social services with some training materials in eBook are also available and accessible through STOU website as well (http://www.stou.ac.t /eknowledge/eBook.aspx). The outcome and impact of these projects are not only to promote lifelong learning for individuals and communities throughout Thailand and beyond but also to contribute open educational resources in distance open learning system.
