This course guide begins with an introduction to the primary features and functions of money, banking and financial structure, particularly in the context of Malaysia. Unit 2 and 3 examine how money supply is created, what determines the demand for money, and how the level and structure of interest rates are determined. Unit 4 examines the effects of the monetary policy on economic activities and inflation. The last Unit discusses to aggregate demand and supply analysis and monetary inflation.
