Description
This course guide concerned with information, rather than accounting. It's targeted at developing understanding of the implications of new information technology in accounting and for corporate strategies as well as business processes. Unit 1 provides an introduction to accounting information systems. Unit 2 introduces the concept of relational databases. Unit 3 explains the structure and roles in systems development, and discusses the key issues and steps in system analysis. Unit 4 explains the concept of control in accounting information systems. The last Unit looks at the steps to be taken in constructing models for different business cycles.
