<swrc:abstract xml:lang="en">This course guide introduces the nature of statistics. This includes introduction of key statistical concepts, role of statistics in business, data collection, sampling designs and the graphical and numerical presentation ofdescriptive statistics. Unit 2 focuses on fundamental concepts of probability, discrete and continuous probability distribution. Unit 3 introduces you to the basic concept of sampling distribution and its relation to interval estimations. Unit 4 covers hypothesis test for mean with known and unknown standard deviation. The last Unit covers simple regression and correlation analysis.</swrc:abstract>
