It&#039;s targeted at developing understanding of the implications of new information technology in accounting and for corporate strategies as well as business processes. Unit 1 provides an introduction to accounting information systems. Unit 2 introduces the concept of relational databases. Unit 3 explains the structure and roles in systems development, and discusses the key issues and steps in system analysis. Unit 4 explains the concept of control in accounting information systems. The last Unit looks at the steps to be taken in constructing models for different business cycles.</swrc:abstract>
